Unfun

'Waterboarding' (album stream)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 1, 2016

After warning us of their grand goodbye in December, Vancouver-formed punk crew Unfun have now released their final LP, Waterboarding. You can let the record wreck you now via an online stream.

The opening title track has an extra-long intro of echo-blown snare hits and melancholy, distortion-muffled melodies, but kicks into a gravelly-voiced pop-punk banger around the two-minute mark.

Streams of "NW Solitude" and "Spirit Animal" surfaced late last year, but the new numbers include bass fuzz-obliterated tracks like "Antibiotics," "Sick/Fed Up" and, perhaps most fittingly for this swan song release, "Death Majesty."

You'll find the stream of Waterboarding below, while LP copies are set for release on March 18 through Debt Offensive. A cassette version is due to be handled Dead Broke Records.
