Twin Shadow (a.k.a. George Lewis Jr.) has revealed plans for his first studio album in three years. Titled Caer, the new LP will arrive on April 27 via Warner Bros. Records/Reprise.
Caer marks Twin Shadow's first full-length album since 2015's Eclipse, and the first since Lewis and his band were involved in a bus crash that left him with a hand injury. He later released a mixtape dubbed Night Rally that same year.
"Sometimes I feel like I have to take a fall to essentially get to the next phase of my life," Lewis said in a statement about the new record. "It's happened over and over. I've been through so many musical phases and through so many relationships with friends and lovers. I always feel like I'm standing on the edge of a cliff, looking down and thinking, 'This is the only way forward: onto the next thing.' It's sort of destructive, but I guess I thrive on rebirth."
In anticipation of the upcoming album, the Lewis-helmed project released a pair of new songs today — one called "Saturdays" and one called "Little Woman." The former features guest contributions from acclaimed pop trio HAIM, while the latter has been treated to a brand new music video.
