Toronto's Tush Announce Debut Album 'Fantast'

They've shared a dance video for the single "Chrysalis" ahead of the LP's summer release

Toronto party-starters Tush have been packing dance floors for a few years now, and they've just announced the details of their debut album. Fantast is due out on July 30 on Do Right! Music.

The digital version of Fantast runs at 10 tracks, while the abridged vinyl version contains seven. (The songs "Auntie," "Confidence" and "Wachadoin" are omitted on vinyl.)

Today the band have shared a self-directed video for the single "Chrysalis," and they've also posted the track "Don't Be Afraid" on Bandcamp (where the album is available to pre-order).

"Chrysalis" is about going after what you want, and as inger Kamilah Apong said in a statement, "It's 2021, in a damn pandemic. We don't have time for polite modesty. Do what you need to do right now. Whatever is scary and wild and curious to you."

Check out the retro-styled video below. It mixes 1970s disco aesthetics with some 1980s-esque 8-bit pixelation. "Don't Be Afraid" is also below, and the album tracklist is below that.
