Vancouver stoner-rap posse Too High Crew have hijacked a Mac Miller beat for their latest shake-dusted single. You can hear the THC get lit to the Pittsburgh spitter's "Watching Movies" beat, which they've repurposed as "Zoom Zoom."
RyRy racks up the '80s pop culture references in the first verse, giving a T.J. Hooker-sized shout-out to Heather Locklear and then flipping the stoned-out script by popping shrooms instead of a lighting up a joint. Like a veritable rap game Allan Sherman, Chrissy's got some things to say about kicking it at Camp Granada before unfurling some jokey bars. Also on the cut are members Bernasty, who gets nostalgic about her first narcotic experience, and the Dooouge, who cleans up with raunchy rhymes.
The song can be streamed down below. Vancouverites looking to catch the cut in person may be able to hear it at the city's 303 venue on Sunday (December 21), where the band will be throwing their "Murray Xmas" party. The free show will be accepting toys, food and clothing donations for the Vancouver Food Bank & Downtown Eastside Women's Centre.
