TLO is often behind the turntables for Canadian rap star Shad, but the producer and DJ is soaking up some more of the solo spotlight with his latest project.
Titled KINGTAO, the EP is a set of instrumental tracks laced together with a common sonic theme. Whereas last year's Boom Bap Ish played with boom-bap beats, the latest offering hears TLO implementing similarly chopped-up beatwork but also showcases a different turntablism skill set and overall vibe.
As the producer himself puts it: "Old chops, new bounce, still me."
