Kingfisher Bluez head Tim Clapp has whipped up another 7-inch under his Tim the Mute persona, dialling into lo-fi acoustic melodies and sci-fi zaniness for Doctor Who Cosplay.
A press release for the record, due March 7, has Clapp admitting that he's offering "four sort of silly, sort of sad songs." The title track, as you'd imagine, has Clapp weighing in on what it's like to spend three months detailing a homemade costume of the good Doctor. Clapp also ruminates on the tragic future of a set of conjoined brothers on the hypnotically plucked "One Dead Twin" and offers more moodiness on "Sleeping Pill Sleep" and "Ready for War."
You'll find all the songs down below, and can pick up a digital copy on Bandcamp. Tim the Mute plays a record release show at Vancouver's Cobalt with Dead Soft, Woolworm and No, Boy on March 7, when the release will arrive on a limited run of 300 7-inches.
