Thundercat

"Paris"

In the wake of the devastating attacks on Paris this past Friday (November 13), bass wizard Thundercat has issued a tribute track titled "Paris."

The piece was made with Thundercat's Brainfeeder label-mate Mono/Poly. It begins with gentle flutters of bass and angelic, wordless choral vocals. In the second half of the minute-and-a-half-long composition, it takes a slightly tenser turn with ominous synth squelches and eerie chord changes.

A description notes that the song is a "tribute to those who lost their lives." Hear it below.

Over 130 people died in the attacks on the city. The worst of the violence took place at an Eagles of Death Metal show at the Bataclan theatre. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack.
