Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend have announced plans for the Who's HITS BACK! Tour, which will bring the legendary rockers to North America on two legs, through April and May, October and November.
After a summer break in the midst of the 30-date run, the tour will resume at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on October 2, marking the only Canadian date on the trek. As with the other dates on tour, the Toronto show will find the band accompanied by a local orchestra, under the direction of conductor Keith Levenson.
The band will also be joined by touring members including lead violinist Katie Jacoby, lead cellist Audrey Snyder, guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend, keyboardist Loren Gold, second keyboardist Emily Marshall, bassist Jon Button, drummer Zak Starkey and vocalist Billy Nicholls.
"Pete and I said we'd be back, but we didn't think we'd have to wait for two years for the privilege," stated Daltrey. "This is making the chance to perform feel even more special this time around. So many livelihoods have been impacted due to COVID, so we are thrilled to get everyone back together - the band, the crew and the fans. We're gearing up for a great show that hits back in the only way the Who know how. By giving it everything we got."
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, February 11 at 10 a.m. local time here, with presales beginning tomorrow (February 8) and running through to Thursday, February 10.
