The Who were forced to cut a concert short in Houston on Wednesday night (September 25), after frontman Roger Daltrey lost his voice.
Eight songs into the set, Daltrey said, "I think I should quit while I'm ahead."
As reported by the Associated Press, his bandmate Pete Townshend apologized to the crowd, confirming that Daltrey was unable to even speak let alone continue singing.
The band are hoping to reschedule the concert, though details have not been confirmed.
The Who also postponed concerts scheduled for tonight (September 27) in Dallas and Sunday (September 29) in Denver.
In recent years, Daltrey has admitted that he believes he will lose his voice in the next few years. As such, he asks fans attending shows to refrain from smoking in the venues — and gets pissed when people don't adhere to the request.
The Who will release a new album titled WHO on November 22 via Polydor Records. It marks their first new album in 13 years, following 2006's Endless Wire.
