SiriusXM Canada has announced the Tragically Hip will be joining its roster of legacy artists to have their own dedicated channel. The Tragically Hip Radio will afford listeners a vast curation of Hip music, interviews, live recordings, special performances and exclusive material from the band's personal vault.

Jeff Leake, the director of music programming at SiriusXM, spoke about the new Hip channel in a press release. Here's what he had to say:

The Tragically Hip's place in history as one of the most influential and important Canadian bands ever cannot be disputed. We are so excited to work with the band and give our subscribers access to their incredible catalogue and exclusive content that they cannot access anywhere else.

The band have also offered a statement in partnership with SiriusXM: "It's an honour to be asked to stand in the same light as some of our heroes We are thrilled to be a part of the programming and development of The Tragically Hip Radio on SiriusXM."

The channel is already live. If you're a SiriusXM subscriber, tune into channel 757 online or through the app to listen.

This should all come as a pleasant surprise to Hip fans still in mourning from the death of frontman Gord Downie back in 2017.

SiriusXM is already host to multiple legacy channels, including those dedicated to artists like Eminem, the Beatles, the Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, Elvis Presley and more.
