The Tallest Man on Earth has a new album on the way April 14 through ANTI-, and he's just shared the record's title track in tandem with a batch of new tour dates.
"My entire career I've been a DIY person — mostly fueled by the feeling that I didn't know what I was doing, so I'd just do everything myself," the artist born Kristian Matsson explained in a release. His latest record became less of a solo effort, with Sylvan Esso's Nick Sanborn helming production and the Dead Tongues' Ryan Gustafson contributing instrumentation alongside Bon Iver's CJ Camerieri and Rob Moose, as well as TJ Maiani, Phil Cook and Adam Schatz.
"They opened everything up, and understood what the songs that I'd written needed: sounds that I couldn't ever have thought of or created myself," Matsson continued. "We recorded so many of the songs live in the studio, playing, having fun and being really open with each other."
The musician announced a spring tour in support of Henry St. back in February, and he's now expanded the trek to include dates in Canada later in the year. After a jaunt around the States in September, Matsson will pay visits to Montreal's Corona Theatre on September 13, Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on September 15 and Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on September 24.
