Ahead of celebrating Do Right's 20th anniversary party at the Revival this Friday (December 2), Toronto funkmasters the Soul Motivators are giving us a sneak peek of fresh music, premiering brand-new single "It Is What It Is" here at Exclaim! a few days ahead of its official release.
According to the band, the song "tackles the subject of our collective ups and downs, inspiring us to keep moving through the darkness." It's the latest following their 2020 album Do the Damn Thing. Written by James Robinson, the song comes attached to a new lyric video, which you can check out below. You can also pre-order the 7-inch single here.
Be sure to check out the band's Jay Nufunk-hosted performance in Toronto this week, where you can also catch Jazzanova, Tush, the Luvmenauts, DJ John Kong, Jason Palma, DJ Nico, Brendan Canning and Alister Johnson for $27.
Tickets for the event are available here.
