Long-gone indie group the Rapture are reuniting.
Following their breakup in 2014, the band are reforming for some comeback shows, Stereogum points out. So far, the Rapture have announced two reunion performances: one at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg on April 30 and another at the Just Like Heaven music festival in Long Beach, CA, on May 4.
In a Facebook post, the band's Luke Jenner wrote:
It's been this long gritty road trying to figure out how to be a father and a husband which seemed a lot more important than standing on stage in front of anyone. We went to therapy, we talked it out, it's still a little weird, but I couldn't do it if I didn't feel like it was gonna be some kinda personal progress. Anyway, I hope there is a long future for us and we can build something new. Maybe you will join us someplace along the way again.
At this point, it's unclear what the Rapture's lineup will be and if more shows are planned. The band's last album arrived in 2011 with In the Grace of Your Love.
