With Fefe Dobson's comeback in full swing, Vancouver indie rock trio the Jins have announced their support on the singer's upcoming North American tour.
The band, whose debut album It's a Life — which "has something for everyone, solidifying the trio's sound and leaving room for growth in all direction," Exclaim! writer Emma Schuster said in a review — arrived earlier this year, growing their Spotify following and landing them the coveted touring support slot.
The Shut Up and Kiss Me tour will bring the Jins and Dobson to Toronto next week — they're playing the El Mocambo on September 29. From there, they'll head back home to Vancouver's Pearl on October 16, before playing Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Winnipeg. The trio will continue their support again in Ontario, with performances lined up in Ottawa, London and Hamilton to close out the month.
Tickets for all dates are on sale now here. See the full schedule below.
The 2015-formed band consists of Ben Larsen (vocals, guitar), Hudson Partridge (bass) and Jamie Warnock (drums, vocals). It's a Life follows their 2019 EP Death Wish, which included their TikTok breakthrough hit "She Said."
"At times, the record feels transitory," Larsen explained of their full-length debut in a statement, "like a well-charted route, though, the branching off never feels quixotic or disrespectful to the Jins' artistic DNA. We just felt like it was a broader reflection of our experience."
He added, "At the end of the day, what we're doing is stripped-down rock and roll. It's very '90s-inspired. We're not going to deny that about ourselves."
