Twenty years on from the release of their debut album, the Black Keys have returned with plans for their 11th studio record, arriving on May 13 via Nonesuch.

If the name of their previously announced North American tour wasn't a big enough hint, the forthcoming album is also called Dropout Boogie. (That tour will see Canadian dates in Toronto and Vancouver toward the end of the run. See the full schedule here.)

As for new offerings, the latest batch of Keys material is being previewed today by lead single "Wild Child," which arrives alongside a music video directed by Bryan Schlam.

The track features new collaborators Greg Cartwright and Angelo Petraglia — who, including ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, were among the select few to join the duo at Dan Auerbach's Nashville-based Easy Eye Sound studio for the DB sessions.

"Living in Nashville and making records here has opened both of our minds to that experience a little bit more," Auerbach said in a statement. "I knew Pat [Carney] would love working with both of these guys, so we decided we'd give it a shot."

He continued: "It was the first time we'd ever really done that. It was fun as hell. We just sat around a table with acoustic guitars and worked out a song ahead of time."

Added Carney, "The cool thing with Greg is that he wants to approach stuff with a story in mind — there's a plot, almost."

Not much else has been revealed about the album so far, so hang tight for further details. In the meantime, watch the video for "Wild Child" below.
