Even after all these years, long-running death metal horde the Black Dahlia Murder are dialling things into the extreme. How far, you ask? Well, judging by the song title and totally unsettling new video for the latest single behind 2015 Abysmal, the band are working at about "Threat Level No. 3."
Written, directed and animated by Adam Avilla, the video concentrates on the violent perversions of a child abductor and his ensuing court case. A vigilante parent may have a different sentence in mind than the judge, though.
It's a vibrantly coloured piece plastered with a look at true evil, ideas of justice and revenge, and a fire-and-brimstone finale. There's also plenty of animated gore mixed in with the serious subject matter, which could be a bit tough for some viewers. We'll tag this one as NSFW.
