Last week, the Smile quietly surprise-released a 12-inch with two new songs. They didn't share them digitally, but that's now changed, as they have released a video for "Don't Get Me Started" to mailing list subscribers, with the wide release to follow tomorrow.
Update (8/9, 9:00 a.m. ET): The Smile have released their "Don't Get Me Started" video. Check it out below. The vinyl B-side "The Slip" is currently not out digitally.
Today, the Smile sent out an email with a password-protected link to the video — which is a creepy and very Radiohead-esque CGI clip accompanying the eerie electronic ballad. The visual was created by Weirdcore.
Fans can sign up for the mailing list at the band's website. For those who aren't subscribed, don't despair, as the Smile will release the video widely tomorrow (August 8) at 7 a.m. ET. The song will also be on streaming services; it remains unclear if the 12-inch's B-side, "The Slip," will also be released digitally at that same time.
