Test Icicles

With their piss-taking name and their uninhibited adoration for fluorescent colours, London, England's Test Icicles have certainly found a way to separate their animated danceable punk rock from the hoards. The trio, who are oft decked in bad '80s hair metal shirts and bandanas, may seem a little contrived but judging from this debut single, it's more about kicking up a storm of unadulterated amusement. "Boa Vs. Python” - think Hot Hot Heat's Knock Knock with a dash of the Blood Brothers - is a beautiful mess of bratty shrieks, choppy metallic riffs and a violently inflamed disco beat.
