We haven't yet flipped the calendar over to 2012, but here's one predication we're confident in making about next year: Slumberland Records will keep on releasing stellar indie pop records. Come February, the esteemed label will drop the latest LP from Sam Francisco punk trio Terry Malts.
Entitled Killing Time, this collection is slated to arrive on February 21. According to an announcement, the album is a "slick, intelligent take on modern chainsaw pop." Mixed by Monte Vallier, this 34-minute collection is described with this series of adjectives: "catchy, husky, hunky, sharp, blue-collar, rocking, hockey-rock, working-class, perfect, near-perfect, not-half-bad, and / or not-bad." Sounds good to us.
Killing Time will be available on CD and vinyl. Listen to the fuzzy, hummable album cut "Tumble Down" below.
This is Terry Malts' debut LP, and it follows hot on the heels of their three-song Something About You EP, which dropped back in the fall, also via Slumberland.
