After joining forces with country legend Willie Nelson on "Beyond the Stars," Tami Neilson is continuing to build anticipation for her forthcoming Kingmaker LP with summer tour dates in Canada and New Zealand.
The Auckland-based, Toronto-raised singer-songwriter –– who has also just released swaggering new single "Baby, You're a Gun" –– will kick off the expedition with two performances at Ottawa's upcoming RBC Bluesfest on July 8 before going on to headline shows across Ontario and Quebec this summer, performing in Orillia, Oshawa, Quebec City, Hamilton, London and Guelph. She'll then return to her current home base with a run of dates in New Zealand.
Lifted from album, which is scheduled for a July 15 release, "Baby You're a Gun" sees Neilson giving her own resonant voice, "to women everywhere — to their strength, power, fierceness, and resilience in the face of structural and cultural barriers to their full participation in society," according to a press release.
