Tall Firs

BY Sam SutherlandPublished Mar 6, 2007

Performing a set that mostly consisted of bland-sounding renditions of what could have been discarded Sonic Youth b-sides, this band were nothing special to look at or to listen to. Drab in most respects, Tall Firs’ few more interesting moments came during the parts of the set where the drummer performed with mallets. Overall, the band were little more than marginally pleasant background music for cheap pints of beer and were generally drowned out by the conversations of uninterested patrons.
