Canadian hip-hop veteran Prevail may be best known for his role in Swollen Members, but his latest project is XL the Band, and they've just dropped a new video for a track called "Birds."
The new group features Prevail alongside his longtime Swollen Members groupmate Rob the Viking, as well as vocalist/flute player Liesa Norman, Neph from Alpha Omega and bassist/guitarist David Spidel, blending each of their own musical backgrounds into something new.
The video was shot in Victoria at a cocktail bar called Clive's and was filmed by the Oregon-based Heartisan Films.
"We were able to capture a real jazz lounge feel, which is a perfect blend for the music and lyrical contribution that highlights the sound of our new group," Prevail tells Exclaim!
