Sufjan Stevens is releasing his 11th record Javelin on October 6, and we're excited about it! If you are too, you're in luck — record shops across the globe will be giving fans a chance to hear the record in advance.
While international cities will get to hear Javelin on September 19, North American record stores will be treated to listening parties on October 3. Toronto's Sonic Boom, Montreal's Le Vacarme and Neptoon Records in Vancouver will all host the event.
The participating stores will be giving away limited Javelin posters and wristbands, and one fan at each event will win a tote bag. At the October 3 event, people will be able to buy a copy of the album early.
Fans are advised to check with their local record stores about reserving a spot. More info can be found on Stevens's website.
