After releasing a 21-song collaborative New Age album with his stepfather Lowell Brams earlier this year, Sufjan Stevens has finally returned with plans for a new solo studio record — his first in five years — titled The Ascension.

The singer/songwriter/composer will release the long-awaited follow-up to Carrie & Lowell via Asthmatic Kitty Records on September 25. Today, we have the record's tracklisting, which can be found below.

The 15-track effort features a number of Sufjan-length songs, including a new single titled "America," which comes in at whopping 12-and-a-half minutes. That song, along with its accompanying visuals, will arrive this Friday (July 3).

The Ascension will mark Stevens's eighth solo studio album. Check out the album art above.
