Still Corners Announce North American Tour in Support of Sub Pop Debut

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 27, 2011

This fall will no doubt be a memorable one for cinematic London popsters Still Corners, as they'll be issuing their debut full length Creatures of an Hour on iconic indie imprint Sub Pop. Adding to the excitement, the autumn season also ushers in a handful of North American tour dates for the swoon-worthy Brits.

Shortly after their debut disc's release date on October 11, the act head over to Florida to kick off a 17-date trip. Along the way the group will hit up Canada three times, with scheduled stops in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. See the complete schedule below.

A press release for Creature of an Hour points to the band's cinematic qualities, pulling influence from legendary screen scorer Ennio Morricone as much as they do from icy '80s new wave. First single "Cuckoo," which you can either download for the price of an email or stream below, "shines in its simplicity," with "a single drumbeat, ghostly guitar, and distant organ highlighting [singer Tessa] Murray's haunting soprano." Check it out.
