Philadelphia, PA-hailing indie rock weirdos Spirit of the Beehive are currently on tour across North America behind their new album, YOU'LL HAVE TO LOSE SOMETHING. After playing a show in Seattle, WA, last night (October 3) at the Crocodile, the trio have reported that their van, trailer and gear were stolen from their hotel.

The band shared the news on Instagram, hoping to locate the whereabouts of the stolen goods. "last night at 4am our van and trailer were stolen at a hotel by the seattle airport," they wrote. "the trailer had every piece of gear and all of our merch inside of it."

The stolen van is a navy blue Ford E350 from 2012 with the licence plate LTB3679, while the 6x10 carry-on enclosed trailer plate is XNT9792. In addition to sharing photos of the missing vehicle, instruments and equipment, Spirit of the Beehive provided a full list of the stolen gear, which included a couple of Fender guitars and basses, a 2019 MacBook Pro, a DSI Prophet Rev2 synth, and numerous pedals, cables, effects units and more.

They've received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists in the comments of their Instagram post, which you can see below, with Montreal janglers Corridor sharing that they had also had their van stolen in Seattle last September. The last couple of years have seen the likes of Pom Pom Squad and the OBGMs face similar thefts, as if touring as an indie musician in this this climate wasn't already nearly impossible!

Spirit of the Beehive are scheduled to perform tonight at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre — as of this writing, it appears as though the show will be going ahead.
