Soldiers of Fortune

"Campus Swagger" (ft. Stephen Malkmus)

New York unit Soldiers of Fortune's roster is already pretty damn deep, featuring various members of Interpol, Oneida, Zwan and more. They've enlisted even more top-shelf talent for their "Campus Swagger," though, which features slacker pop prince Stephen Malkmus.

The track, which comes from the act's Early Risers album, is a distorted dust-up full of punky power chords and slightly countrified licks, with the Jicks leader using his patented, free and easy vocal style to discuss that sweet, sweet "Campus Swagger."

You can hear the cut below.

Soldiers of Fortune comprises Kid Millions (Man Forever, Oneida), Barry London (Oneida), Matt Sweeney (Chavez, Zwan), Jesper Eklow (Endless Boogie), Brad Truax (Interpol), and Mike Bones (Oneida). Their Early Risers makes its way into stores on November 6 via Mexican Summer.
