According to a tweet on their Twitter page, veritable Canadian indie rockers Sloan will be playing a free show in Toronto this coming Wednesday (September 16).
The gig will take place outside the Air Canada Centre before the Toronto Maple Leafs play their first NHL preseason game of the year versus their longtime rivals, the Boston Bruins.
"Come on out and support the troops," the Sloan tweet proclaims. Perhaps they are channelling the one and only Don Cherry with that little ditty.
No word on exactly when or where this free Sloan show will go down, but if you like hockey and rock (rockey?), and you're within earshot of ACC on Wednesday evening, definitely keep your ears open and your eyes peeled. Or is that the other way around?
And hey, maybe the guys will play some new tracks from their forthcoming EP.
