Slipknot Bassist's Grave Robbed

In what either is an act of misguided fan-worship or just an act of disrespect, the grave of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray has fallen victim to thieves. According to a post on the metal outfit's website, cherished mementoes left by loved ones have been stolen from the plot where Gray lies.

"In a very upsetting turn of events, we have learned that some gifts left for Paul at his grave site have been stolen," the statement reads. "There were statues of a gargoyle, as well as a Buddah that were placed at Paul's grave by his friends and family that were taken. We ask that whoever did this please return the items, no questions asked."

Gray, who was found dead in an Iowa hotel room last May after overdosing on morphine and fentanyl, was a founding member of the masked-metal outfit.

Here's hoping the thieves have hearts and return the gifts to Gray's burial site out of respect to his grieving family, friends and former bandmates.
