Like the Timex watch of hardcore bands, Boston hardcore legends Slapshot take a licking and keep on ticking. On their latest offering, a seven-song EP with some video footage included as a bonus, the Bean-town brawlers make it known that they arent your garden variety nu-school punk poseurs. No, they are in it for the music and the message that has remained the same since the mid-80s. The unabashed and unflinching approach to the music proves why they are the sole survivors of the once burgeoning New England punk scene.
