​Sky Ferreira Responds to Sexist 'L.A. Weekly' Column

Last week, L.A. Weekly published a moronic column with the headline "Sky Ferreira's Sex Appeal Is What Pop Music Needs Right Now." The words that followed were precisely as dumb one would expect, with writer Art Tavana devoting more copy to her "killer tits" than anything remotely music related.

After getting pelted with online pushback, the publication issued an apology, but Ferreira herself has only just weighed in on the situation.

Though she hasn't offered an "official statement," the singer shared the following string of tweets in response to the article (and the disturbing frequency of others like it):
 
Many were publicly outraged at the article's initial publication, with other female musicians stepping in to condemn L.A. Weekly, as well as to offer support to Ferreira.
