Sky Ferreira Teases New Film and Song

Recently, Sky Ferreira has taken on some acting roles, but now the multitalented musician has co-written a film of her own. This project will come out this summer, and it will feature a new song.

Ferreira announced the news on Twitter, revealing that it's being directed by filmmaker Grant Singer. Ferreira co-wrote it with Singer and promised that it will be "VERY cinematic."

It's not entirely clear what Ferreira means by "film." Considering that it will come attached to a new song, it's possible that this is simply a music video, but Ferreira certainly seems to be portraying it as something more ambitious in scope.

Presumably the new song comes from the singer's upcoming album Masochism. There's still no word as to when that LP will be out. When it arrives, it will be the follow-up to 2013's Night Time, My Time.
