Of all the bands who can accurately be described as epic, Icelandic orchestra rock ensemble Sigur Rós are close to the top of the list. That's why it should come as no surprise that they've been booked for an appearance on HBO's fantasy program Game of Thrones.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the group will make an appearance in the fourth season of the program. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are big fans of the band, and admit to listening to their music while they film the show.

They aren't the first musicians to appear on the show. Will Champion of Coldplay and Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol have previously made cameos, while the National and the Hold Steady have both contributed new music to the show in the past.

Sigur Rós also made an appearance on a recent Iceland-set episode of The Simpsons. Hear their take on that show's iconic theme song below.
