The ever-busy Shed (born Rene Pawlowitz) has spent years perfecting his fascinating, forward-thinking minimal techno. After last year's excellent The Killer LP, the artist has announced plans for a new 12-inch.
Once again working with Modeselektor's 50 Weapons imprint, Shed has prepared two brand new tracks for our consumption. "The Dirt" offers highly edited synth cuts that build in mass atop a trebly hi-hat, while "Fluid 67" focuses on its bass heavy beat. Both songs can be briefly previewed here.
50 Weapons will issue "The Dirt" and "Fluid 67" on September 13. Here's hoping Shed has even more new tracks on the way.
