California-born bluesman Seasick Steve is set to return with a new record called Sonic Soul Surfer this spring, but before the full package arrives, Exclaim.ca has got the video premiere for album cut "Summertime Boy."
The musician pays homage to his West Coast roots, filling the video with shots of sun and sand. In addition to some beachfront footage of Steve sitting down with his guitar, we get to see the 70-something-year-old hanging ten, as he shows off his impressive surfing skills.
The new album lands on March 23 via Caroline International and features musical "celebrations of wanderlust and good-time boogie behaviour side-by-side with thoughtful ruminations on time past and time passing."
In spite of his stage name, Seasick Steve looks right at home next to the ocean, which you can see for yourself by watching the brand new clip for "Summertime Boy" below.
