The song appears on her latest album 'Are You Gone'

As Sarah Harmer hunkers down before the week that would have commenced her recently postponed North American tour, the Canadian songwriter has lifted the veil on a wintry new music video from her latest record, Are You Gone.

Today, the artist has shared a Josh Lyon-directed clip for the album's latest single "St. Peter's Bay." It's a perfect ode to lonesome Canadian winters, featuring Harmer walking at dusk beside a snowed-out plain, ice skating and lighting a cozy riverside fire.

I made this with filmmaker Josh Lyon. We hopped a late afternoon ferry to an island in the St Lawrence River and caught a brief window of mild weather and a bit of sun. For me this story takes place in a simpler time, when word was sent "on the wires of woodsmoke" and ice was sure to freeze from one shore to another. The pain of ending a relationship is familiar in any era, and the vastness of the landscape in the middle of the river speaks to that timelessness.

Harmer had previously shared the track back in January, ahead of the release of Are You Gone, which officially arrived February 21 via Arts & Crafts. Before its release, Exclaim! named it one of the Most Anticipated Albums of 2020.
