Though he tasted more success with Danzig and the Misfits, Glenn Danzig's in between band, Samhain, were great at what they did, providing a strong middle ground in his career. With a hyper mix of punk and metal, Samhain were unfairly ignored, making this live performance something to treasure. Recorded by Al Flipside, this is a straight-up, raw performance that runs on pure adrenaline to provide a visceral experience. Unfortunately, it hasn't been mastered or overdubbed, meaning the poor visual and poor audio quality (something Danzig feels is necessary) is sometimes quite distracting, but nonetheless it makes you feel like you're there amidst all the chaos.
