This month, Australian songwriter Sally Seltmann is set to release Hey Daydreamer, her first solo effort since 2010's Heart That's Pounding. The album is due to arrive on March 4 through Arts & Crafts, but you can now stream the whole thing here online.
The 11-song effort was recorded at the home studio built into Seltmann's attic. She produced it alongside her husband Darren Seltmann (the Avalanches) and played piano, synth, organ, bass and percussion on the LP.
As could be expected, Hey Daydreamer is a sprawling, creative collection of forward-thinking, well-crafted indie pop, complete with soaring, cuted-up anthems ("Catch of the Day"), baroque-pop-tinted ditties ("Billy") and inwards-looking ballads ("States and Spaces").
