After releasing the "far from essential" Hotel Sessions earlier this year, Evan Dando is showing few signs of giving up on his long-running Lemonheads project. Instead, the band are reportedly at work on their next album.
According to alt-rock troubadour Ryan Adams, the band are hard at work on a new record. Not only will Adams produce the LP, but he'll also play drums on the whole thing.
Furthermore, the upcoming Lemonheads album will mark the return of co-founder and co-songwriter Ben Deily, who left the band way back in 1989. The release will also mark the return of Juliana Hatfield on bass.
While details are somewhat scarce, Adams confirmed the news on his Twitter, writing, "Looking forward to producing the new Lemonheads album this weekend with orig 2 songwriters Evan & Ben with @julianahatfield on bass... Playing drums on the Lemonheads records too. Dream come true… Back to the punker sounds."
Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
