Ryan Adams announced yesterday (January 8) that he would be releasing three new albums in 2019, and now he's shared more details on the first one to arrive, Big Colors.

The album is due out on April 19 via Blue Note Records/Capitol.

UPDATE (1/9, 10 a.m. EST): Adams has now confirmed his second album of 2019, called Wednesdays. While that second album is still without a firm release date, you can learn more about it here.

In addition to announcing the release date, Adams has also unveiled the complete 15-song tracklisting. The opening track is aptly named "Big Colors," while other new tunes include "Fuck the Rain," "Dreaming You Backwards," "I'm Sorry and I Love You" and "Manchester."

Big Colors was co-produced by Adams, Beatriz Artola and Don Was, who became president of Blue Note back in 2012.

In a statement released via Jacqueline Alemany's Washington Post newsletter "Power Up," Was said:

I wish everyone could witness the awe-inspiring sight of Ryan Adams recording in the studio . . . the endless flow of brilliant ideas is mind blowing and he's clearly tapped into the deepest reaches of the Creative Ether. His forthcoming album(s) elevate his art form to a whole new stratosphere and it's an honor and a thrill for all of us at Blue Note Records to work with him. Oh yeah . . . one other thing: he's the most underrated guitarist in rock n roll.
