After signing to Fat Possum earlier this year ahead of a new album, Royal Trux have shared their first new music in 18 years.
Jennifer Herrema and Neil Hagerty have unleashed a pair of singles, titled "Every Day Swan" and "Get Used to This." The latter features an appearance from rap vet Kool Keith.
Alongside the tracks, Royal Trux have also mapped out a North American tour set to kick off next February. A pair of Canadian stops will bring them to Lee's Palace in Toronto on February 19 before playing Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on February 26.
"Nothing has changed within the Truxian universe we created for ourselves as teenagers; because Trux is and will always be our way of life whether living it together or separate…This is no hobby rock kick," Herrema said of the band's reunion. "This next chapter is just another perfectly aligned bit of kismet. No concerted effort to force anything forward or to create something with an eye on the past."
In February, Fat Possum revealed Royal Trux were set to hit the studio this past summer to record their new full-length. The label also reissued the band's back catalogue digitally this year.
Royal Trux delivered live effort Platinum Tips + Ice Cream last year, marking their first release in 17 years.
