Nova Scotia's Rose Cousins has announced the follow-up to her 2020 LP Bravado. Conditions of Love - Vol 1 arrives March 14, 2025, and next year will also see the singer-songwriter touring across Canada.
In a statement about the record, Cousins shared, "Love feels great and makes us ridiculous. It's tiring and intense, joyful and devastating. Falling in love, being in love and staying in love are all such different things. Being human is emotionally complicated enough without attempting to relate to another who is just as complex, and in the most vulnerable of arenas: romance. Love is wondrous and absurd (and very hard). Humour helps."
Today, the artist previews the album with a lead single thusly titled "I Believe in Love (and it's very hard)," which arrives alongside a video shot by Halifax cinematographer Jeff Miller, starring Eli Arsenault, and featuring Cousins's good friend Margot Durling. You can watch that below.
