Rome Romeo Unveil New Single Ahead of Debut LP

Rome Romeo made a big impression on us when they released their self-titled EP back in 2009, as we praised the collection and noted, "the songs have maturity and depth difficult to find in bands that have been around for years." It's been a while since then, but the Montreal indie act have now announced plans to release a new single ahead of a full-length.

The new seven-inch is called Lucifemme and it's due out February 14 via Machette Records. It contains two tracks: "Secrets" and "Tongue & Teeth," which a press release promises "pack a driving punch with swirling and haunting vocals."

These songs were recorded in Rome Romeo's home city at Breakglass Studio with Jace Lasek of the Besnard Lakes, and they were mixed by Adrian Popovich (Sebastien Grainger, Sam Roberts). Listen to the track "Secrets" below.

Rome Romeo will launch Lucifemme with a release show at Montreal's Divan Orange on February 11. They will reportedly embark on tour soon, and in April will release a as-yet-untitled LP.
