After the success of Roman Flügel's outstanding twelve-inch release, How to Spread Lies, the multi-talented German artist releases his first full-length album under his given name on Dial. Also known as Eight Miles High, Soylent Green, Sensorama and Alter Ego, Flügel's production styles explore a broad range of eclectic grooves. "How to Spread Lies" opens Fatty Folders with its light, breezy piano cords and shimmering synth melodies for the ultimate understated journey. "Deo" is a laidback, slow building, minimal house track incorporating bongos and piano melodies that meander into subtly complex avenues. "Song With Blue" is another piano-driven composition that delicately weaves in some sentimental sophistication bound to pull on the heartstrings. "Softice" is an experimental organic percussion number displaying Flügel's intricate mastery as a producer. Flügel delivers technically impressive modern compositions, resulting in a brilliantly beautiful and mature first release.
