As Rock Plaza Central get set to release their ridiculously long titled album ... At The Moment Of Our Most Needing, Or If Only They Could Turn Around, They Would Know They Weren't Alone, the new Paper Bag signees have unveiled their upcoming North American tour plans. Beginning with a six-night run in their hometown of Toronto, the alt-folk troupe will embark on an extensive U.S./Canadian tour, making stops in such cities as New York, Chicago, Indianapolis and Vancouver.
As previously reported, Needing gets its Canadian release on May 28, with the U.S. getting the record a bit later on June 16. In the group's typical literary fashion, the album is apparently inspired by William Faulkner's novel Light in August, with front-man Chris Eaton describing the record as capturing the "Rock" part of their band name while still hinting at their old influences like Will Oldham and Tom Waits.
