River City Rebels

Racism, Religion and War

Now here's something a little different. This band features a horn section but they aren't ska-punk. Formed in rural Vermont in 1997, this seven-piece are in their teens and early 20s and they play high-energy, sing-along punk rock that sticks in your head. It's a sound that fits in with what a lot of other bands are doing, but still has enough of an old school influence to make it interesting. Their youthful idealism shines through and lives up to the title with songs that take on the military, Christians, corporate America and more.
