The second record from this small-town Vermont septet far exceeds the promise shown on their debut, Racism, Religion and War. Theyve grown as a band into a sound thats their own, not merely a reflection of their influences. And considering how young they are, its good to see that the success theyve achieved over the past year hasnt gone to their heads or messed with their music. The 14 songs on this are catchy as hell, and youll find the "whoa, whoas bouncing around your brain after only a couple of spins. The River City Rebels are the puny kid brother of the Clash and Rocket From The Crypt who left town last year and now is back to kick your ass.
