Revile

Moment in Review

BY Erica LeducPublished Feb 1, 2005

Once they get their grips on you there's no letting go, and is that really such a bad thing? There's a driving force behind Moment in Review, this Irish five-piece’s sophomore album, which takes you, and forces its way through. This music is very atmospheric, the instrumentation brings to mind Tool, but singer Andy O’Toole breathes more life into this music than Tool’s singer does. Revile also has more of an ear for melody than most hard rock bands, bringing a kind of twilight feel. Uplifting, yet very soothing, it seems rare for a rock band to be lulling. They seem like they could both rock you to sleep or just rock you.
