A founding member of Brit-hop crew Deliverance, Brighton-based MC Remark steps up and delivers some solo UK hip-hop on this brief but engaging EP. "3 Fold” features a crunchy beat woven with brassy horns, mechanical noises, and healthy scratching. Oblique rhymes abound on "Love Is All,” featuring Req on the boards and back-up vocals. "Uprising” is a jaunty, up-tempo number that coats its political message in a slick party vibe that makes it that much easier to swallow. Overall, this EP shows great promise for the burgeoning UK hip-hop scene.
