Raekwon keeps cooking up vintage-styled tracks as part of his "Throwback Thursdays" series. His seventh instalment salutes smooth R&B crooner Luther Vandross with a take on his immaculate slow jam "For You to Love," here redubbed "Flawless."
Up front, the track slides in a sample of blaxploitation film The Mack about reaching for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, with Rae then jumping on a satin groove to talk about "two tables and a needle"-styled hip-hop. After explaining the "new elegance," the rapper drops out to showcase the velvet vocals of the late Vandross, as well as an over-acted movie clip.
